BEACH QUAD-LEVEL
Multi-Level Lakeside Terrace with Hot Tub, Built in Fire Pit, Outdoor Kitchen and Bar
The Story
This wooded lake front home was in need of an entertaining space face lift. With adult kids that have moved out of the home, this couple was ready to upgrade the backyard in order to have more guests over for grilling, hot tubbing, bon fires, and boating. This home gives off a “northern Michigan” feel and it was important to the clients to keep that vibe in their backyard design.
The Design
This lake front back yard design offers the most use possible out of a smaller amount of space. With smaller spaces, the best design is one that offers entertaining from multiple levels. Walking out the main level of this beach home, you can enjoy weekday happy hours or a Sunday morning sunrise coffee. The modern horizontal clean lines of the deck railing allow for better sites of the lake and sunsets.
Stepping out of the basement onto the patio, you can enjoy grilling at this large U-shaped kitchen, warm up by the fire on cool autumn nights, or hop into a warm hot tub after hours of boating. Walking down closer to the water opens up into a larger patio space where beach lounge chairs and umbrellas can be a home for. At the water level, nothing says beach home like a clean beach to plop a chair down and feel the waves at your feet. There was nowhere to go but up with this lake front home, and to say that this project blows other design out of the water is an understatement!
