Project Spotlight: Tour Chatham’s Fiery Outdoor Transformation

Where Fire Meets Water: Chatham’s Inspiring Outdoor Transformation

At Ventures, we believe that every project should reflect the unique vision of the homeowner while pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in outdoor spaces. The Chatham project is a shining testament to this philosophy. A masterful fusion of fire and water, this property redefines luxury with its unique and captivating features. The elements of fire and water are not just accents; they are central themes throughout the entire design, creating a functional, mesmerizing, and serene outdoor living space.

The Vision: Fly-through 3D Renderings of Chatham’s Design

Before breaking ground on the Chatham project, the homeowners were given a detailed preview of their future outdoor oasis through immersive 3D renderings. These fly-through animations provided a virtual tour of the entire space, capturing every angle and detail—from the sleek, raised spa that overlooks the custom pool and rain curtain, to the dramatic elongated fire feature with mesmerizing water scuppers. The renderings allowed the homeowners to explore the seamless integration of fire and water elements, experience the layout of the patios crafted from Unilock Arcana pavers, and visualize the elegance of the Pebble Tec Midnight Blue pool and spa finish. This comprehensive visual representation ensured that every design choice was perfectly tailored to their vision, setting the stage for the stunning transformation to come.

Curb Appeal: A Grand Entrance with Vintage Charm and Lush Landscaping

The transformation of the Chatham property begins at the front, where thoughtful landscaping and hardscaping create an inviting and sophisticated curb appeal. The expansive driveway and front entrance are laid in Unilock, Town Hall permeable pavers in Basalt. Modeled after historic North American clay street pavers, Town Hall is a beautiful choice for modern hardscaping with vintage charm. The front entrance and driveway consist of over 3,000 sqft of pavers, each one hand-laid by our master masons. Thoughtfully designed landscape lighting illuminates the walkways, steps, and surrounding landscape setting a majestic scene as the sun sets.

The Centerpiece: A 22-Foot Rain Curtain Illuminated with Fire Cyclones and LED Lights

The centerpiece of the Chatham project is the gunite pool with custom rain curtain, designed and fabricated in-house at Ventures. This isn’t just any water feature—this is a 22-foot-long cantilevered structure, artfully designed to sprinkle a light, natural rain that creates a soothing, almost ethereal atmosphere. The rain curtain is equipped with built-in LED lights that illuminate both the structure and the falling water, casting a mesmerizing glow across the pool’s surface.

But the real magic happens when the fire elements come into play. Enclosed in quartz glass tubes, these flames create stunning fire cyclones that rise between each pillar, perfectly complementing the cascading water. The mesmerizing interplay of fire and water captivates the senses and becomes a focal point of the entire backyard.

The Oasis: Custom Gunite Pool and Raised Spa

The gunite pool boasts a modern, minimalist design with a chic, rectangular footprint. The Pebble Tec Midnight Blue finish deepens the water’s natural color while the natural limestone coping in Buff provides a crisp contrast, framing the pool’s edge. The pool features a sunshelf, perfect for lounging and enjoying the water at a leisurely pace. However, it's the raised spa that truly steals the show. Clad in Pebble Tec Silverado Glass Tiles and Midnight Blue pebble, the spa exudes a deep, luxurious vibe that invites relaxation. The raised spa is set apart on a raised portion of the patio, offering a private perch from which to admire the pool and rain curtain below.

The Elements: Seamless Integration of Fire and Water Elements

As you move to the main patio, the theme of fire and water continues with the elongated fire feature. This isn’t just any fireplace; It is a decorative sculpture and fountain with three water scuppers on each side of the fire. Above the fire feature, a flat-screen TV raises and lowers at the touch of a button, allowing for ultimate relaxation and entertainment in this unique setting.

Two-Tiered Luxury: A Patio Designed for Every Occasion

The two-tier patio seamlessly blends function and style across multiple levels. The upper deck is surrounded by a sleek frameless glass railing, providing uninterrupted views of the stunning property below. The views can be enjoyed from a small outdoor kitchen with a built-in grill, refrigeration, and storage. Or from the outdoor dining room, the perfect place for alfresco dining. Beneath this elevated deck lies a spacious covered patio, where a cozy fireside lounge invites relaxation around a third fire feature. The ceiling, finished with tongue-and-groove paneling, features recessed lighting, ceiling fans, and overhead heaters to ensure comfort throughout the seasons.
