For this expansive bi-level patio, Ventures matched the mid-century modern inspired architecture of the house with clean angular lines, minimalist aesthetic, and emphasis on the natural surroundings. The existing balcony was extended out an additional 14 feet, creating an expansive space for lounging or entertaining as well as a fully covered patio below. Frameless glass railings create an unobstructed view of the lake from the house and patio. Below, the patio is laid in a sleek, contemporary modular pattern in a combination of soft greys and beiges mimicking the sand and stone from the property. The vertical support columns match the stone from the house, as does the tongue and groove cedar ceiling, stained in teak with recessed heaters and a minimalist ceiling fan. Long narrow stone gardens run throughout the project, accentuating the angular, geometric shapes of this modernist style. The patio extends from the covered portion to an open dining area and across to the back porch and grill. The frameless glass panels return for the porch balustrade with a sleek stainless steel handrail. Trex Transcend decking is used for the porch, steps, and balcony. Long, horizontal lines are laid across the center for a contemporary look with a double border in a lighter, contrasting shade.
This swanky, minimalist aesthetic elevates the property and is sure to stand the test of time.
