Sutherland
Our Sutherland project stands as a testament to the transformative power of outdoor design. With meticulous planning and dedication to craftsmanship, Ventures created an outdoor living space that breaks the mold and exceeds expectations of what is possible with a narrow backyard, marrying functionality with show-stopping design elements.
At the heart of this project are a custom gunite pool and a raised gunite spa that emerges as a work of art, seamlessly combining the function of a spa with the captivating aesthetic of a sculptural water feature. A row of stepper pavers separates the two, an eye-catching design choice that also allows a single plumbing system to seamlessly serve both the pool and spa.
As you wade into the pool, you'll discover a trifecta of custom features. A sun shelf and three strategically placed bubblers add a whimsical touch and fun play feature for the family’s children. An automatic pool cover, assures safety and preservation of the pool's pristine allure, effortlessly gliding open and shut at the flip of a switch.
Beyond the pool and spa, this outdoor living space boasts a kitchen with a built-in grill, refrigeration, disposal, and storage. It's the ideal setting for alfresco dining. Hardscaping is kept to a minimum, allowing permeable greenspace to weave its way throughout the property. The minimalist hardscaping is laid in natural bluestone with designated areas for a shaded dining area and a fireside lounge.
For the young ones, a sunken trampoline, seamlessly integrated into the landscape, promises hours of fun and fitness. And for those who seek solace, a covered porch with an outdoor fireplace is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of morning coffee or cozy evening gatherings.
The finishing touches to any outdoor living space are landscaping and lighting. Sutherland’s privacy fence is lined with pear trees and lush hedges of hydrangea. As the sun sets, carefully placed landscape lighting illuminates these features and the surrounding space, transforming it into a private oasis.
